Ephemeris reading and writing

Ephemeris are huge bundle of data which includes position of planets for each day of year.

They are source for any astrologer who want to know the motion and position of a planet. Like it’s degree in the circle or if it’s retrograde or not!

Also the more complete version of it includes the declination and latitude of planets.

Before last 50 years that computers helped astrologers in calculating the position of planets, This was the solution for classic astrologers to calculate the events and natal charts.
They tried to write the ephemeris for 100 years, so it was a large number of books!

Each paper of usually includes planet positions for a month.
Each line belongs to one day, and it only writes one time 00:00 as universal time which is known as GMT nowadays.

The most important thing is that ephemeris is based on Julian calendar.

Gregorian calendar which is used in all over the world as usual date and time system, having 10–13 days gaps which are removed from the calendar in most of the European countries in the time of Pope Gregory XIII.

They are different ephemeris for ayanamshas and asteroids. Also, the data which are published by the official sources are now calculating Lilith, Chrion, Neptune, Pluto and Uranus along main planets and nodes.

When we are stepping in computer calculations, they are 3 type of data that are published. NASA JPL, Steve Moshier and Astrodienst.

We will cover more about the ephemeris, how it can be read and how to use astrology software for calculation.
